Here is a mix that Paul and I did for the Last Rites One Year Anniversary party nearly 20 months ago in February 2007. After having a rummage through his hard drive Paul found this and big Rob over at Northern Comfort, which is an ace blog that you should check out if you haven't already, has been kind enough to host it for us. Whenever I hear these records I get a bit excited and a bit misty-eyed with all the memories of easily the best 18 months of my life playing records in basements and bars across Mancunia. Heady times indeed. You've all heard these records before but don't let that stop you from cranking it up and raising a glass to the spirit of acid house while shuffling about in a slightly embarrassing manner around your front room. While you're at it, why not join the Last Rites Facebook Group or join in the fun on the message board where there are rants, raves and free music - basically it's fucking ace.

Off the top of my head the tracks are...
1. Edwin Starr - Get Up (Whirlpool) - it is either the 7" mix or the 12" mix with the first bit cut off, can't remember...
2. The RAH Band - Electric Fling - a little Swedish 7" that was included on one of those Balearica compilations...
3. Hugh Masakela - The Boy Is Doin' It - Carl Craig remix - massive, massive tune played at just about every Last Rites party, Paul played this one first...
4. Dennis Parker - Like An Eagle - the one I cleared the entire dancefloor at Sankey's with...
5. Gabor Szabo - Keep Smilin' - Mark E edit - another one that got us all excited, Mark played at the last KUMO party as well, the good egg...
6. Geraldine Hunt - Can't Fake The Feeling - THE Last Rites anthem, proper get out of jail card...
7. Alice Smith - Love Endeavor - Maurice Fulton remix - such a great tune and the one that got everyone back on the dancefloor at Sankey's after Parkergate...
8. Can't remember what this one is - a bit of a Paul special but MK - I'm Burnin' Up is ringing a bell...
9. Another one that I'll have to go and have a root through the collection for, it has a blue sticker on it and Paul put me onto it and he probably played it here...
10. Sly Mongoose - Snakes & Ladder - Rub 'n Tug remix - I am still adamant that Paul and I broke this one first...
11. Theo Parrish - Falling Up - Carl Craig remix - a glorious tune that just builds and builds and builds...
